This week I've been working across small canvases because the change in shift from larger work really helps to challenge and refresh ideas.
I wanted to experiment with different ways of applying paint - thin acrylic, marks of colour, thick oil paint, oil over wet oil paint, etc, along with the theme of the land and sky becoming One as the Cyprus sunset turns them orange. In amongst this are black carob trees and small buildings.
This will be developed on a large scale after Christmas!
