A selection of Landscape paintings, inspired by drawings, watercolours, or memory.

Landscape has always been an important theme for me. I have many childhood memories of car or train journeys, of looking out the windows, and feeling the life force of the landscape encapsulated in the changing forms and colours passing by. Conveying a sense of light and drama is also an interest.

I often paint on site, (in watercolour), but also make drawings from cars and trains. Mood is an important element in my paintings, but I'm also interested in resolving compositional and colour issues as I paint.
