A selection of new paintings - a layering of imagination, memories and paint used as a 'paint-poem.'

Some of the more recent paintings have been influenced by my trip to China in September, as part of my participation in the Beijing International Art Biennale 2015. New ideas and approaches have filtered through from my ongoing series of Chinese ink paintings on rice paper which I have been making since my visit. The use of Chinese brushes on the rice paper, and the fluid lines and shapes they can create with both ink and colour, has entered my works on canvas.
