Spartans Shields Returning Home in the Rain
I was thinking about the courage and endurance people show in their daily lives which rarely is acknowledged and the idea of the Spartans and their shields ('Return with your shield or on it') as an emblem of courage came to mind. It is a quite personal composition using colours that reflect my time living in Cyprus and visiting Greece. I liked the idea of the positive aspect of colours and the movement of the shields.
