'Late Winter, Early Spring.'<br> Oil and acrylic on canvas, 2009<br> 40cm x 30cm

I have always loved the way the sun catches the blocks of trees in late winter, casting lights and shadows through the branches. This was painted from a drawing made on a train journey, when there were a few sprays of early blossom.
