'Women Behind the Trees.'<br> Watercolour, 16 inches by 12 inches, 2010

This was painted in situ, and as I painted 2 women appeared behind the trees. I loved the way the shadows became blue across their pale clothes, and the shapes of the Acers, rocks and flowering bushes.
