'Fiona in the Turkish Baths.
'Fiona in the Turkish Baths.

The walls of the Baths had been whitewashed, so the effects of the lighting on the walls became different with more yellows and warmer colours. Eventually the steam made the paint flake, and the Baths went back to being strange, half-lit places.

This one is about my sense of isolation in the Baths as I distanced myself and drew the women. I have painted myself cut off from the women by putting the hexagonal shape of the massage slab in between myself and them.
