Prairie Dusk

I love the sense of peace at dusk. I've often walked through forests and across the land at dusk, listening to the birdsong and watching the way that the light dips and changes the contours of the land. This painting took me to a prairie as the paint began to form on the canvas and I let it evolve in to an expression of a place I'd like to walk across.
