This is one of an ongoing series of paintings and collages inspired by memories of evenings at Lemba, Cyprus. I lived in Cyprus for 14 years and have been back many times since then and one of my enduring memories is of the way that sunsets fill the landscape with reflected colours. Land and sky become one. Then shapes lose their identities and blend in to dusk. In this collage I have referenced Carob trees, buildings and paths.
I mixed raw canvas, ink on rice paper, acrylic and gesso on cardboard.
