Flying into Amsterdam Airport

I was exploring paint and calligraphy and it suddenly suggested a memory of flying in to Amsterdam airport last September on my way to Beijing. The land below was scored with pools of water, roads and wonderfully lush and green on what was a very cloudy day, and this captures that experience more than any photograph could. This painting will be used to paint a much larger version.
