As part of the South East Open Studios, I did a painting demonstration along with the two artists I shared the studio with. Our studio was an empty unit in Ely Court, Royal Victoria Place, Tunbridge Wells, and we showcased some of our work and also each worked on a wooden panel, 8 foot high and 4 foot wide, painting a section of trees. Though we each depicted a particular section of a line of trees, starting from photos, our works soon departed from the subject, and we interpreted it in our own way.

This demonstration, which was visible from outside the unit, brought many people inside to chat to us about our processes and ideas, and they also viewed our work on display.
